"This is the ultimate spot in Trieste to eat and watch the sunset. The food is absolutely fabulous, with the risotto and catch of the day being must-try dishes. I’ll always remember this place for its incredible food, reasonable prices, and outstanding service. And, of course, the magnificent sunset views are unforgettable! Definitely a must to eat here while in Trieste."

"It is a very nice place with great food and a an evenly great view on the harbor and the sea. The staff is very friendly and was also very attentive at the beginning. Sadly that changed during the course of the evening and even everyone had to run by our table constantly it took us quite some time to order more food and drinks. This could have been a bit better. All in all we had a great evening."

"We didn't have the privilege to try the food. We came before 12 am so they were only serving drinks. Waiter was polite and kind. I was very sad because I felt very nice smell of sea food. Probably they were preparing for the afternoon. And we were very hungry actually . But didn't have luck. Also there is perfect choise of vines. Place is cozy and with charm. The closest if you want to be near water. We didn't take photos of enterior but that's why you have more reason to come and visit."

"A very special unique experience!!! Place is amazing overlooking the Marina, service is splendid from all stuff out there who were really friendly and so helpful. When it comes to food, it is OH MY GOD! Tasty seafood, fresh, and mouthwatering specially with their octopus starter dish. We ordered pesto gnocchi which was so fulfilling & res pasta seafood along with white wine. A must try for anyone who wants to end their day perfectly after watching the amazing Trieste Sunset!"

"Pier The Roof is one of our top-rated restaurants in Trieste. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits on a pier, so while you dine you’re surrounded by breathtaking views of the ocean. The fish of the day is always fresh and delicious, and the pastas and salads are excellent as well. They also have a great wine list. The waiters are awesome but what really makes the experience special is the manager Alice. She’s always smiling and wonderful to talk to. She often helps serve and takes time to chat with guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Agostino"

"A very pleasant experience! Both the interior and exterior (it is a pier surrounded by boats) are pretty. The combination of flavours in the mackarel apetizer was amazing. Grilled octopus was delicious. Staff was very attentive. There was no problem booking a table when we called the number provided on their website. Will likely visit again! Edit: This time even better experience! We were sitting outside and I highly recommend this when the weather is nice. It makes the experience more special. Also, tuna tartar was delicious!"
